سُورَةُ الفُرۡقَانِ · 25:58

وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ٱلْحَىِّ ٱلَّذِى لَا يَمُوتُ وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِهِۦ ۚ وَكَفَىٰ بِهِۦ بِذُنُوبِ عِبَادِهِۦ خَبِيرًا

And rely upon the Ever-Living who does not die, and exalt [Allah] with His praise. And sufficient is He to be, with the sins of His servants, Acquainted -

Introduction

This is āyah 58 of Sūrat Al-Furqaan (The Criterion), the 42nd sūrah in the traditional order of revelation. It was revealed in the Meccan period and sits within Juzʾ 19. Meccan verses tend to address faith, the oneness of God, and the hereafter.

And they worship besides Allah, that which can neither profit them nor harm them; and the disbeliever is ever a helper against his Lord (55)And We have sent you only as a bearer of good news and a warner (56)Say: "No reward do I ask of you for this, save that whosoever wills may take a path to his Lord.
