سُورَةُ يُونُسَ · 10:66

أَلَآ إِنَّ لِلَّهِ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَمَن فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ۗ وَمَا يَتَّبِعُ ٱلَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ شُرَكَآءَ ۚ إِن يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا ٱلظَّنَّ وَإِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا يَخْرُصُونَ

Saheeh International · EN

Unquestionably, to Allah belongs whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth. And those who invoke other than Allah do not [actually] follow [His] "partners." They follow not except assumption, and they are not but falsifying

Introduction

This is āyah 66 of Sūrat Yunus (Jonah), the 51st sūrah in the traditional order of revelation. It was revealed in the Meccan period and sits within Juzʾ 11. Meccan verses tend to address faith, the oneness of God, and the hereafter.

Do not grieve over their speech, for all power and honor belong to Allah. He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower (65)Behold! Verily, to Allah belongs whosoever is in the heavens and whosoever is in the earth. And those who worship and invoke others besides Allah, in fact they follow not the partners, they follow only a conjecture and they do nothing but lie (66)He it is Who has appointed for you the night that you may rest therein, and the day to make things visible (to you).
